The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a working meeting between Semyon Garagul, the CEO of «Oil Resource» LLC, and Rifkat Minnikhanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. The parties discussed promising areas of scientific and technological cooperation in the oil and gas industry including the development of technologies to improve the efficiency of developing hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves.

During the meeting, representatives of «Oil Resource» LLC presented the main areas of the company's activities including projects in the field of oil production, oilfield services and the development of innovative technologies for the oil and gas industry. Special attention was paid to the multifluid thermal technology (MTT), designed to increase the efficiency of the development of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves. The meeting participants discussed the prospects for testing the technology, the possibility of its further implementation as well as issues of localization of equipment production.

President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov expressed interest in developing cooperation on scientific and technological projects and suggested considering the mechanisms in place in the republic to support innovative initiatives.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on the development and implementation of promising technological solutions for the oil and gas industry.
